SEX AND GOD

In Ira Stein’s collage Sex and God, the words SEX, Sin, Guilt, and GOD function as structural pillars of a psychological cage designed to police human biology through religious conditioning. Synthesized together, these elements create a closed-loop trap that forces humanity into a profound civil war against its own neurochemistry and evolutionary drives.

Ira Stein’s minimalist painting “Low Hanging Fruit” rejects decorative aesthetics to confront contemporary culture’s addiction to instant gratification and moral shortcuts. By reinterpreting the biblical metaphor of temptation against a desolate backdrop, the artwork exposes how societal orthodoxies and immediate desires lead to collective spiritual complacency.
